Sign Up For Hosting and Free Domain with InMotion
First thing we need to do is go to the InMotion’s website and select the Launch plan under InMotion’s Shared Hosting. Click on Learn More button under Shared Hosting to get started.
Choose A Hosting Plan
Now, lets select one of the plans by clicking on the “Add To Cart” button. If you don’t know which plan to choose, start with the Launch plan. This plan includes a Free domain, 2 websites, unlimited email, and many other features.
Domain
It’s time to set up your domain name. You can either register a new domain name which is included for free for one year or you can use a domain you already have.
Enter Your New Or Existing Domain
If you would like a free domain with hosting, enter the domain name you would like. Otherwise, you can select “I already own the domain I want to use.”
If the domain name you want is available, you’ll be able to add it to the cart. Once added, you can proceed by clicking on “Continue.”
Domain Privacy
If you want to hide or protect your contact information from the public, you can choose domain privacy for an additional cost. Having domain privacy can protect you from unwanted solicitation from companies trying to get you to transfer your domain to them for additional costs and can also prevent you from getting unwanted junk mail. Click continue to proceed to the next steps.
Configuration and Additional Options
Next, we’ll select the data center and choose to install WordPress to have it automatically installed for you. You can leave the default “Recommended” data center and select “Install WordPress” if you wish to do so. Don’t worry about any of the other options for now.
Billing Contact Email
As a new customer, you’ll need to enter a valid email address.
Payment
Now, fill out all the information on the provided form with payment information. Then, review your order and finish checking out.
Welcome Email
Now, you should get a welcome email to set your password and to sign in to InMotion AMP (Account Management Panel) where you can set up your new website!
